Hyatt Place Montreal - Downtown

Great place. Brought the dogs to celebrate new year. Having a coffee shop and grocery store and pharmacy attached to this hotel is very practical. The rooms are clean and spacious, as well as the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always a good stay at a Hyatt. PS. It was great to see many Americans with us. It made are stay that more special.

Very beautiful and clean Interiors. The staff was super friendly. Overall, we had a really good stay and would probably go back. I wish they had more sound protection between the rooms. I was woken up a number of times through the night by our upstairs neighbour and people in the halls. I also wish you could enter through the main doors after 11 o’clock instead of having to walk around the building and down into the parking garage to access the hotel.

The staff were absolutely amazing—professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The only drawback was the elevator situation, which was not ideal at times. However, aside from that minor inconvenience, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and appreciated the overall experience. I would certainly consider returning in the future.

We stayed at Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown during the holiday season and overall had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and the washroom was very nice. Everything felt well-maintained. The only downside in the room was that the blankets weren’t very thick or warm, which was a bit uncomfortable during winter. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and accommodating. We asked for a late checkout and were granted one based on availability, which we really appreciated. The indoor pool looked exactly like the photos, and the dry sauna was perfect for relaxing, especially after a long day exploring the city. Some reviews mentioned homelessness in the surrounding area — this is true, but it is downtown Montreal, and they were outside around the area. It did not affect our stay. The location is very convenient, with a short drive to Old Montreal, making it easy to get around and explore. The biggest downside was the parking situation. Parking is extremely tight with very small spaces, and the hotel charges an additional $30 per night. For a hotel with nearly 30 floors but only two levels of parking, this felt very unreasonable and was quite frustrating. Overall, the staff and cleanliness were excellent, and the amenities were great. I would have given five stars, but I had to deduct one due to the parking issues, which were disappointing.

Early train departure had me up early. I awoke to sunrise over the St. Lawrence. Beautiful view. Friendly English-speaking staff. I love the pool, gym, and breakfast bar. Located next to the gay village, very close to busy Metro hub. When I was here in the summer, lots of Bixi bikes close by and tons of cycle tracks and bike lanes. Comfortable bed. Well rested this morning, despite the early start.

location and rooms were great and it was pretty clean, but the elevators were terrible and constantly got stuck, i lost a lot of time waiting for these elevators and they also didn’t allow anyone to take the stairs. if it wasn’t for that this place would easily be a 5 star. th breakfast was pretty good too.

We came from New York for our first trip to Montréal, and this hotel made the experience so special. It’s very baby-friendly and everyone was genuinely kind. A special thank you to Donna at breakfast. Every morning she greeted us with the warmest smile. When she saw me bringing my child to breakfast on my own, she would check in, offer help, and talk sweetly to my little one. It meant more than she probably knows! Everyone was so kind. The pool was great too. My baby absolutely loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place Downtown Montreal as a family with our baby. The hotel was extremely clean, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for exploring the city. I also used the Business Centre during my stay and everything worked perfectly — my work was done with no issues! Our room was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly. Breakfast was good, and the hotel felt safe and convenient for everything we needed. Also, having a Starbucks and an IGA supermarket right downstairs was extremely helpful, especially in the cold weather. Thank you for making our trip to Montreal easy and enjoyable!
